From the caption on the reverse of this picture:
"5/16/44 --- Blondes, brunettes, redheads --- all types of movie beauties were represented in the gathering of fifty film starlets who volunteered to become companions of an equal number of wounded servicemen for the colorful premiere of RKO's "Show Business" held at Grauman's Chinese recently. Sgt. Desi Arnaz, attached to the Birmingham General Hospital where the servicemen are recuperating, arranged for the meeting before the premiere. Evidently enjoying each other's company are this foursome - Sgt. Douglas Wright, Belita, Pvt. Bob Shinn, and Mona Maris. Proceeds of the premiere, under sponsorship of the AWVS, went to the hospital's fund for wounded servicemen."
