Super Sako is a popular Armenian singer and rapper, who now lives and works in Los Angeles. The best way to sample what Super Sako is about, we suggest viewing the links to his videos on YouTube. It is here, where you will see that Super Sako's fantasy of life in LA has come true.
Born in Yerevan under Soviet rule, his whole family moved to LA when Sarkis was just a boy. At 16, he was rapping under the name Sad Eyez.
Working with various Armenian singers and rappers in the "rabiz" idiom, led to the release of his first album, called Saint Sarkis in 2008.
Super Sako followed this up with additional albums, named sequentially: Saint Sarkis 2 (2009), Saint Sarkis 3 (2010), Saint Sarkis 4 (2014), Sako and Friends (2012) and Love Crimes (2016). A song from Love Crimes, became a hit single and video: Gims Feat. Super Sako & Hayko: Mi Gna with Maitre Gims and Spitakci, released in January 2018; watch it on YouTube.
More recently, Super Sako has been collaborating with a variety of musical figures, making videos and releasing stand-alone tracks, like:

Cake - Super sako Ft. Offset was released in May 2022; watch it on YouTube. You might not have known this, but April is Armenia-American Heritage and History Month, sponsored by the Armenia-American Action Network; this group asked Super Sako to come make his imprints at the theatre. It was embedded in the Forecourt with no fanfare and discovered by graumanschinese.org in August 2024. |
